Geophysical Survey Services

State-of-the-art geophysical survey services, blending advanced technology with non-invasive methods for precise exploration

We prioritize accuracy while minimizing disruption to surveyed areas, ensuring reliable data collection without compromising environmental or infrastructural integrity. Our expertise spans industries like construction, environmental management, and disaster response, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making and risk mitigation.

Seismic Survey Tests

Teragrail's seismic surveys are employed to investigate subsurface ground conditions by utilizing surface-sourced seismic waves. Data acquired on-site is then processed and interpreted to generate models of seismic velocity and layer thickness of the subsurface ground structure. This method is non-destructive and may be used in pre-feasibility and feasibility studies; in some cases, it may serve as an alternative to borehole drilling.

  • Measuring bedrock depth and overburden thickness

  • Determining seismic rippability parameters

  • Investigating pipeline routes

  • Locating geological structures

  • Evaluating sand and gravel deposits

Downhole Seismic Survey Tests

Our downhole seismic survey tests offer a specialized approach to subsurface characterization. Unlike surface-sourced seismic waves used in traditional seismic surveys, downhole tests involve the generation of seismic waves directly within the borehole. This method provides a unique perspective, capturing more detailed information about the geological composition and structural integrity of the subsurface.

Electrical Resistivity Tomography / Tests

This portable device, employed by Teragrail, serves as an advanced tool for subsurface exploration, offering in-depth insights into the underground environment. By utilizing high voltage electric ground pulses and recording passive natural ground voltages, the device efficiently scans for hidden water deposits and cavities, reaching depths of up to 250 meters. The primary objective is to determine underground resistivity, determine the location and depth of groundwater, identify the thickness and properties of soil layers, map the distribution of geological features, such as faults and fractures, and detect potential contamination of soil and groundwater

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Our Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment at Teragrail serves as an x-ray for subsurface exploration, offering unparalleled capabilities in detecting and visualizing underground utilities, shallow fault lines, and subsurface material such as lines for telecommunication, electricity distribution, natural gas, water mains, and wastewater pipes.

Metal Detection

Metal detection, integrated into our ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys, offers a swift and non-intrusive solution for detecting metallic elements buried beneath the ground. This efficient approach allows us to quickly identify and mark the presence of underground metallic objects, ensuring a seamless and minimally disruptive exploration process.

Unexploded Ordance Detection (UXO) Survey

Teragrail employs the DJI Matrice 350 RTK for Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Detection Surveys to identify and mitigate potential hazards within the area. This drone system combines real-time kinematic (RTK) positioning with high-resolution imaging capabilities for detection of UXO in diverse terrains.
